The 16th season of India’s longest running adventurous reality show is back with a bang on MTV. With a new theme and “gang leader”, Roadies Real Heroes promises to present real-life stories of courage, honour and bravery. For the last 15 years, no other show has connected with the youth as strongly as Roadies by simply innovating and challenging the limits of action and adventure. The show, known for its unique formats and fascinating tasks every season, indeed has a loyal fan base.

Former Indian hockey team captain, Sandeep Singh has joined the league for the first-time. Rapper and singer Raaftar is also prepped up for his second stint along with seasoned expert Nikhil Chinappa. Actor and host Neha Dhupia is back to clinch her third title along with ‘ringmaster’ Rannvijay Singh who will stir up the game like never before. The team was in Chandigarh for the auditions.

“This is my first association with the show and the concept of finding real life heroes propelled me. All of us have the potential to rise beyond the ordinary and make a difference and that’s what I believe. It’s going to be a new experience and I am eager to explore something I haven’t done before,” said Sandeep Singh at the formal announcement.

Rannvijay Singh, who has been associated with the show for the longest time, said, “From being a contestant and winner to a host to a winning gang leader and a host again, Roadies has come a full circle for me. Yet every season throws up a new challenge and intrigues me more. This time, I am hoping to meet some dynamic contestants who have the ability to tackle what comes their way and surge ahead.”

Neha Dhupia, whose gang member clinched the title last season said, “t’s already the fourth year as a gang leader and my excitement only increases with every season. So much has changed for the better in these years, both personally and professionally for me. Roadies Real Heroes is an adventurous getaway for me every year where I meet new people, go through a journey of courage and strength with them and end up making friends too. This season is much bigger, better and I can’t wait for the auditions to begin.”

King of reality shows, Prince Narula remarked that the show is very close to his heart. “The show is evolving with each season which makes me look forward to newer challenges with my gang and emerge stronger than before. Let’s see what the city has in store for us,” said Narula who was also present for the Chandigarh auditions.

Despite the winter chill, Chandigarh saw adventure junkies pouring in large numbers to be a part of Roadies Real Heroes auditions.
